Why Do Muggles Scare Wizards Again
It's stupid they can probably overpower them easily
The wizards are actually more powerful than muggles. Like just one move of their wand n they can kill people. But for some reason wizards are scared of muggles maybe smth happened in history while muggles overtook wizards or smth... What do u guys think?
I'm not sure if protego would be able to protect a wizard from a gunshot. After all, bullets move much faster than spells. Plus, there are a lot more muggles than wizards, and muggles have developed a lot of scary weapons. Plus, muggles have computers and stuff. Wizards have been very stagnant in terms of technology for a long time.
^ and? Wizards literally have to say a few words and such problems are fixed within moments. Some people don't even have to say words and the magic happens.
Magic doesn't do you much good if you get shot in the head. And wizards rely too much on magic. They love their brooms, but airplanes are a much faster and more comfortable way to travel. Hermione spent half of the first book looking through the library to find out who Nicholas Flamel is, but it would have taken a muggle about ten seconds to google it. Wizards arrogantly think that having magic makes them superior, while muggles have actually surpassed them in many ways.
^that's laughably naive considering Google and the like wasn't around by time the technology was around then. Pretty sure not can't use a gun if a wizard had enough time to cast a spell, hell Fred and George made hats that protected others from spells, with a bit of wand waving wizards can easily replicate such an effect. Wizards have a mirror that you can literally speak into to call someone instantly without false connections or the like. They can teleport in and put of places others can't get into with the three D's. That's not even speaking of the muggle born students that are still part of the magical world. All it would take is for the brilliance of a witch/wizard of Hermione's focus and drive and actually not want to break the rules for one to replicate everything muggles can use.
The only thing muggles have going for them is that they're numerous, magic kind could be literally hiding beneath their noses and they still never got found out besides the fee instances where Voldernort and his cronies went all insane.
Sure, Google wasn't around in the 90s, but if you jump forward ten years, muggles have the sum total of human knowledge right at their finger tips, and wizards are still using books. Sure, a muggle born could introduce the internet to the wizarding world, but they haven't, and it would never catch on. There's a reason that wizards barely use any modern technology. They are so arrogant that they can't accept that muggles can come up with ideas that are better than magic.
Protego isn't much good unless your reflexes are faster than a speeding bullet. Spells generally move slowly enough for people to see and deflect or dodge. Bullets are a lot harder to dodge.

^ pfft. The only reason they can't is because magic doesn't work well with electronics and they dont have a need for it. Long distance travel? Instantly solved by the Floo network, or Portkey. Short distance travel? Apppearation. Communicate long distances mirror, or stick head into a fireplace. Broken bones? Mended by a spell where it would take a few days to fix(Lockhart and Harry's arm doesn't count, obviously)
Besides obvious things, magic can and does solves everyone's problems quite easily, especially if one is competent enough for the task.
And normal people could hardly dodge a bullet as well, so I hardly see the point of that actually.

Do they ever say the range of floo powder and portkeys? We've only seen floo powder used to travel or communicate within the UK, and the furthest we've seen a portkey travel is from the UK to France. Since Voldemort had to fly when he went abroad, despite the fact that he controlled the floo network and portkey registration, I assume their are limitations on the range.
Muggles can't dodge bullets, but they can dodge a killing curse. That gives a muggle a distinct advantage in a one on one duel.
It's just says a prearranged destination and in the notes section, it has the be arranged between countries. Voldemort had some control of the government, bit with how most people react to Death Eaters, or Voldemort, it would not be hard go believe that a Voldemort occupied Minsitry would be isolated. And it needs Ministry approval of both countries, so there we have it.
Not really since most Muggles are rather good at taking spells to the face and when it comes to wizards using lethal force to a muggles, the muggles die.
